Operations Team Member – Cyber & Specialist Operations

About the role

The Operations Team Member will support the MOD Cyber & Specialist Operations Command (CSOC) in delivering day‑to‑day operational capability. Working from Central London, the role involves managing procurement, project delivery and the operational assets that enable cyber and specialist missions across the United Kingdom and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide non‑standard procurement and project delivery services for CSOC operations.
• Manage and deliver physical and non‑physical operational assets to meet end‑user requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery of operational capability while ensuring cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain a robust, auditable asset database and support risk‑management processes.
• Represent CSOC in key working groups within HMG and external partners.
• Travel regularly between CSOC units, including overnight stays, to verify operational output.
• Review and refresh policies related to operational capability, ensuring best value‑for‑money.
• Assist with asset audits and provide subject‑matter expertise to sub‑units.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational tasks.
• Experience in handling procurement, project delivery or asset management in a government or defence environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight as required.
• Ability to work autonomously and represent the command in internal and external forums.
