Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse / ODP – Full‑time at The Yorkshire Clinic

About the role

Join the busy Ophthalmology Theatre Team at The Lodge, The Yorkshire Clinic in Bingley as an Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner. You will deliver high‑quality planned care for patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures and support the surgical team throughout the day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide planned patient care and maintain a safe theatre environment.
• Perform scrub duties for a range of ophthalmic clinical procedures.
• Assist in the organisation and management of care provision within the department.
• Support the delivery of patient care alongside the surgical team.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives and promote evidence‑based practice.
• Apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures correctly.
• Respect patients' dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs at all times.

Required profile

• Registered with the NMC or HCPC.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Ophthalmic surgery scrub experience (training will be provided if needed).
