Orthopaedic/Spinal Scrub Nurse (ODP) – Full‑time

About the role

Join the Theatre department at New Hall Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care UK, as an Orthopaedic or Spinal Scrub Nurse (ODP). You will work in state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, supporting orthopaedic and spinal procedures while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment for orthopaedic and spinal cases.
• Assist the surgical team with instrument handling, counts, and equipment setup.
• Support surgeons during hip, knee, and anterior cruciate ligament arthroplasty procedures.
• Collaborate with anaesthetists and other theatre staff to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Current NMC or HCPC registration.
• Proven scrub experience in orthopaedic surgery; spinal experience is desirable.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible, positive attitude with a warm and empathetic approach to patients.

• Surgical First Assist (SFA) qualification – desirable but not essential
