Pathway Coordinator – Medical Secretary (Gynaecology)

About the role

The Pathway Coordinator (Medical Secretary) will join a friendly Gynaecology Secretarial Team, providing high‑quality medical secretarial support to consultants and the wider clinical team. You will act as a key point of contact for patients, consultants and staff, helping to deliver efficient, patient‑focused care.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison for patients, consultants and medical staff, responding to enquiries with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Prepare and send clinical correspondence within agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Escalate urgent test results and important communications promptly.
• Provide cover and support for colleagues as required.
• Work in line with Trust and national policies, including waiting‑list management and 18‑week pathway targets.
