People & Culture Advisor – HR Role in North-West London

About the role

Are you a proactive HR professional with a strong foundation in Employee Relations and an upbeat, energetic approach? We are working with a construction company looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join a small, collaborative HR team in North-West London. Our client values practical, hands‑on action over high‑tech automation, so building real relationships matters more than AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the go‑to contact for line managers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring on HR processes.
• Lead disciplinary investigations, grievances, short‑term and long‑term sickness cases, and probationary reviews.
• Draft well‑reasoned outcome letters and communicate clearly with colleagues via phone and email.
• Assist with general HR administration, contract generation, and processing maternity/paternity paperwork.
• Contribute to the maintenance and update of company HR policies.

Required profile

• Strong employee‑relations knowledge, handling disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management from start to finish.
• Confident relationship‑builder with managers, offering robust advice and producing high‑quality professional correspondence.
• Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
