Plumber / Pipefitter – £25/hr, 4‑week contract in Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plumber / Pipefitter to join a mechanical contractor on a high‑profile commercial project in Birmingham City Centre. The role is short‑term (approximately 4 weeks) and offers a competitive rate of £25 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out first‑fix and second‑fix plumbing installations across the site.
• Install copper pipework up to 28 mm, using both traditional and press‑fit methods.
• Fit and test HDPE piping systems as required.
• Collaborate with the wider mechanical team delivering heating, cooling, ventilation, water, drainage, BMS, medical gases, fit‑out and sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• Valid Blue Card or Gold Card for plumbing work.
• Experience working on demanding, high‑standards construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Required skills

• First‑fix plumbing installation.
• Second‑fix plumbing installation.
• Copper pipework installation up to 28 mm.
• Press‑fit piping techniques.
• HDPE pipe installation.
