Portfolio Scheduler

About the role

Amentum Technology's Independent Assurance and regulations team is looking for a Portfolio Scheduler to help deliver projects to key clients and grow the business in this sector. The role is hybrid, with travel to Abbey Wood, Bristol around three times per week; part-time and flexible working arrangements can be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and maintain portfolio-level schedules in Primavera P6, aligned with programme objectives and timelines across multiple projects.
• Create and manage schedule baselines, controlling and documenting changes through baseline change control.
• Update live schedules regularly to reflect current project and portfolio status.
• Run Schedule Variance Reporting to highlight deviations from baseline and their potential impacts.
• Perform Critical Path Analysis to identify key milestones and activities affecting delivery.
• Work with project teams to keep schedules realistic and aligned with resource availability.
• Report progress and schedule risks to stakeholders and support integration with other portfolio management tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Primavera P6 planner, able to handle complex schedules at project and portfolio level.
• Strong understanding of schedule baseline creation and change control, and experience maintaining live schedules.
• Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills, with stakeholder engagement at all levels.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Primavera P6, with focus on dependencies, reporting and analysis.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel for reporting.
• Desirable: SharePoint, Visio and Planner (training provided).
