Practice Manager – North London – £38k‑£45k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a well‑established St. James’s Place Partner Practice in North London. The role sits at the heart of the business, supporting the Partner and senior management team while driving operational excellence and client service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own the practice’s daily operations, continuously improving processes for efficiency and client care.
• Lead, mentor and manage the Administration and Paraplanning teams, delivering regular coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with SJP and FCA guidelines, keeping the practice audit‑ready at all times.
• Coordinate client servicing activities, including review meeting preparation, diary management, pipeline oversight and workflow monitoring.
• Partner with senior leadership on operational planning, reporting and system enhancements.
• Maintain accurate client and business records using the practice’s CRM and internal systems.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational matters, liaising with clients, SJP head office and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in practice management or operations within a financial planning or wealth‑management environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
• Excellent understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory standards (FCA, SJP).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM and practice management software.
• Solid knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
