Primary Teacher Year 5 – Weymouth

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Teacher for Year 5 to join a welcoming school in Weymouth this September. The successful candidate will lead a vibrant Year 5 class, supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant and a collaborative staff team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
• Assess pupil progress and provide targeted support to help each child reach their potential.
• Work closely with the classroom TA and wider support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, inspiring atmosphere.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and challenge learners.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Positive attitude with high expectations for all students.
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
