Procurement Manager – Bids & Programmes

About the role
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead bidding and programme procurement activities for large aerospace and defence customer programmes. The role will cover the full lifecycle from bid preparation through contract negotiation to delivery and support.
Key responsibilities
- Strategically manage commodity and services suppliers to support customer bids and programmes.
- Run tenders, negotiate and award contracts, and manage contractual changes.
- Translate customer terms and conditions into subcontract agreements for the supply chain.
- Ensure suppliers meet production and manufacturing schedules.
- Collaborate with procurement colleagues, customers and suppliers within integrated project teams (IPT).
Required profile
- Proven experience in project, IPT or programme‑related procurement activities.
- Background in aerospace, defence or engineering supply chain environments.
- Experience supporting bid work and handling bespoke contracts.
- Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
- Ability to balance customer and supplier perspectives.
