Production Operative – 4 on/4 off shift

About the role

Join Hovis, a historic bakery brand, as a Production Operative working on a 4‑on/4‑off shift pattern. You will help keep the bakery production line running smoothly while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to keep the production line operating continuously.
• Ensure products are produced safely and meet quality specifications.
• Check the line and materials throughout your shift.
• Record basic information using simple systems.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Assist with minor equipment issues or report problems promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a factory, warehouse or food environment (preferred but not essential).
• Basic maths, reading and IT skills.
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work with machinery.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
