Production Operative – Shift Work in Peterlee

About the role
Our client in Peterlee is seeking Production Operatives to join a busy production line, monitoring material quality and maintaining production records to ensure efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and run plant equipment in line with standard operating procedures.
- Operate and adjust machinery safely, ensuring correct performance.
- Monitor equipment, stop the line when necessary, and request maintenance or supervisory assistance.
- Maintain customer specifications and quality standards throughout production.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from damaged goods.
- Perform quality checks as required by customer specifications or the QA department.
Required profile
- Can‑do attitude and flexibility to work shift patterns.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable commute to Peterlee or willingness to relocate before starting.

What we offer
- £15.63 per hour.
- 12‑hour shift rotation (day and night shifts).
- Full‑time temporary contract.
