Production Operator

About the role

Join BASF's Centre of Excellence for Pest Control in Widnes and work in a high‑quality manufacturing environment producing rodenticides. You will operate complex machinery and support the delivery of essential pest‑control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safe, ethical manufacturing practices and follow HSE regulations.
• Monitor production quality through routine checks, accurate data recording and corrective actions.
• Operate complex machinery for powder, wheat and liquid mix production while minimizing losses.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization across the production area.
• Safely operate hand pallet trucks and forklifts, performing basic maintenance checks.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and efficiency.

Required profile

• Level 2 NVQ in Performing Manufacturing Operations or equivalent manufacturing skillset.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong numeracy and literacy with ability to use digital tools.
• Flexibility to work a shift‑based schedule.

Required skills

• Operating complex production machinery.
• Hand pallet truck operation.
• Forklift operation (licence preferred).
• Use of digital tools such as IT systems, scanners and tablets.
