Production Planner – MRP (MS Dynamics)

About the role

We are supporting an established engineering business that designs, manufactures and installs temporary and permanent structures for major events and industrial applications. The Production Planner will coordinate production activity across a busy engineering department, ensuring materials, capacity and schedules are aligned to meet customer demand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise MRP system data (MS Dynamics) for accurate planning, forecasting and scheduling.
• Develop and adjust detailed production plans based on demand, resource availability and capacity.
• Monitor daily production performance, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse production, efficiency and inventory data to identify trends and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Stock Control, Sales and Design teams to coordinate priorities and improve workflows.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Production Planner in an SME manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning principles and manufacturing processes.
• Extensive experience using MRP systems, preferably MS Dynamics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make practical recommendations.
• Confident communicator able to coordinate across multiple departments.
