Project Director – Commercial Refurbishment (Hotel/Office/Retail)

About the role

You will join a high‑engagement, low‑turnover team at an independent project management consultancy that has strong growth and a reputation for delivering complex commercial refurbishments across Central London. Working closely with an experienced Director and a talented group of Project Managers, you will have autonomy to lead projects while benefiting from mentorship and clear pathways to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a complex commercial refurbishment project that has secured planning permission, with contract values ranging from £5m to £100m.
• Provide project management oversight for hotel, office and retail schemes, ensuring delivery on time, budget and quality.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including private investors, developers and contractors.
• Oversee contract administration under JCT terms and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and client presentations.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience within a consultancy environment.
• Proven track record delivering private‑sector projects under JCT contracts.
• Experience with both new‑build and CAT A refurbishment projects.
• Chartered status or progression towards MRICS, MCIOB, RIBA or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
