Project Engineer – Mechanical, Process & Gas Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer with a background in mechanical, process or industrial gas handling to join a fast‑growing specialist engineering firm. You will act as the technical liaison between clients, suppliers and internal teams, delivering bespoke, state‑of‑the‑art systems for high‑profile industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project workstreams, suppliers and client communications.
• Support Senior Project Managers from concept and P&ID review through to commissioning and handover.
• Develop and review technical documentation, including P&IDs and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with regulated sector standards and company technical standards.

Required profile

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Process, Chemical or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in mechanical, chemical, process or industrial gas engineering.
• Ability to travel to client sites in the Godalming area as required.

Required skills

• Interpretation and updating of P&IDs and technical schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical and process engineering principles.
• Familiarity with industrial gas handling systems.
