PSV Engineering Trainer – Heavy Vehicle & Bus Coach Tutor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle, Bus & Coach professional to join our Bristol academy as a PSV Engineering Trainer. You will transition from hands‑on work to delivering Level 3 apprenticeship training, helping apprentices develop the technical expertise required in the automotive sector.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom theory and practical workshop sessions for Heavy Vehicle, Bus & Coach Mechanical and Mech/Elec programmes.
• Support apprentices during block‑delivery weeks, guiding them through coursework and assessments.
• Use demonstrations, discussions and real‑world examples to bring technical concepts to life.
• Monitor apprentice progress, provide feedback and ensure achievement of learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong background in Heavy Vehicle, Bus & Coach, PSV or Commercial Vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Possession of a Level 3 qualification related to vehicle engineering.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to learners.
• Willingness to obtain further teaching qualifications (full training provided).
