Psychology Graduate – Support Role in Special Needs School

About the role
This temporary full‑time position is designed for a recent psychology graduate who wants to gain hands‑on experience supporting children with ADHD and/or autism in a primary school setting. You will work closely with teachers and therapy staff to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes learning and personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Support creative and safe play activities for children.
- Assist children with completing academic tasks.
- Collaborate with teachers to prepare and deliver classroom activities.
- Liaise with therapy teams and senior leadership to ensure coordinated support.
Required profile
- Strong academic background in psychology.
- Demonstrated resilience, empathy, creativity and problem‑solving abilities.
- Eligibility to work with children (not on the barred list) and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- Minimum GCSE grades A*‑C in Maths and English.
