Quality Management Lead – Civils

About the role

The Quality Management Lead – Civils will support the delivery of the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station programme, ensuring that all civil engineering quality requirements are met across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Drive resolution of quality implementation issues and support continuous improvement.
• Review, accept and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs) from the supply chain.
• Identify audit needs across the supply chain, coordinate audits and follow through to closure of findings.
• Produce Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) for each contract.
• Ensure deployment of key quality arrangements/specifications (e.g., GQAS, LTQR, QRC, ITP) in line with PQCPs.
• Lead Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) reviews.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external inspection/assurance entities, including off‑site manufacturing inspection partners.
• Apply graded manufacturing surveillance based on safety function and project requirements.

Required profile

• Proven ability to resolve quality implementation issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience reviewing and monitoring Contractor Quality Assurance Plans.
• Capability to coordinate supply‑chain audits and manage findings to closure.
• Competence in producing and implementing Project Quality Control Plans.
• Familiarity with quality arrangements such as GQAS, LTQR, QRC and ITP.
• Experience leading Lifetime Quality Records reviews.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
