Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established construction and refurbishment contractor in Blackpool. You will own the commercial delivery of refurbishment and fit‑out projects from the pre‑construction stage through to final account, working autonomously across office and site environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery of refurbishment and fit‑out projects from inception to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and project schedules.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Produce valuations, variations and payment applications.
• Monitor project costs and maintain budgets.
• Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts.
• Negotiate subcontractor and final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend site and client meetings as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong background in refurbishment projects (fit‑out experience desirable).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple commercial responsibilities.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
