Registered Nurse – Renal Dialysis (Derby)

About the role

Join the nationally recognised renal dialysis team at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. You will work on the Derby Dialysis Unit delivering high‑quality haemodialysis care to patients with chronic kidney disease.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver haemodialysis treatment to CKD patients attending three times a week.
• Assess patient care needs and implement agreed nursing and clinical standards.
• Manage a clinical workload and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to meet complex patient needs.
• Monitor quality of care using clinical standards and audit, taking action to ensure excellence.
• Participate in professional and personal development of the nursing team.
• Support the nursing team in identifying and minimising environmental and clinical risks.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with adaptability to a dynamic clinical environment.
• Willingness to develop clinical skills and undertake comprehensive training.
• Flexibility to cover shifts across mornings, afternoons and evenings, four days per week, Monday‑Saturday.
• Openness to cross‑site working and continuous professional development.
