Regulatory Compliance Manager – Financial Services

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead advisory and monitoring functions within a financial services organisation in London. The role combines subject‑matter expertise on regulatory matters with leadership of a compliance team and interaction with senior stakeholders, regulators and group functions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as deputy for senior leadership, sit on executive committees and chair internal compliance committees.
• Lead the regulatory advisory function (excluding Financial Crime and Data Privacy), providing expertise on Bank of England/PRA frameworks.
• Maintain the regulatory advice tracker, produce management information, and identify trends or risks.
• Oversee horizon‑scanning of regulatory changes and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
• Develop, maintain and execute a risk‑based Compliance Monitoring Programme, including a proportionate Risk Universe.
• Collaborate with colleagues to keep compliance controls robust and up‑to‑date through risk assessments.
• Respond to requests from group functions, regulators or external auditors and deliver training sessions as required.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial services compliance, preferably within retail and corporate banking.
• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory authorities and frameworks (Bank of England, PRA).
• Professional qualifications relevant to compliance or risk management.
• Proven ability to balance regulatory requirements with commercial objectives.
• Experience managing direct reports and representing the department in senior forums.
