Remote Paralegal – UK Family Law (Independent Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Paralegal with solid experience in UK Family Law to join a busy legal team on a fully remote, independent‑contract basis. The role involves supporting solicitors in divorce, child‑custody and financial remedy matters, ensuring cases progress smoothly and clients receive high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with case preparation across divorce, child custody, and financial remedy matters.
• Draft legal documents such as witness statements, court applications and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research on UK family law regulations and precedents.
• Manage and organise case files, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date documentation.
• Liaise with clients, courts and third parties in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Support court bundle preparation and filing procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Perform administrative tasks to ensure efficient case progression.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Paralegal in UK Family Law (essential).
• Strong understanding of UK family court processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
