Risk Consultant / Account Engineer – Property

About the role

Zurich Resilience Solutions is seeking a Risk Consultant / Account Engineer to act as a trusted adviser for property risk across a portfolio of key accounts. The role is home‑based with regular travel across the UK and occasional international trips, offering flexible working arrangements such as part‑time, job‑share or full‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver customer service strategies that reduce loss, drive risk improvement and create measurable business value.
• Coordinate complex risk engineering programmes, oversee service plans and stewardship reviews, and provide clear, actionable risk insight.
• Manage programme delivery through Zurich’s global network and support business growth by identifying expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• Commercially minded risk engineering professional with proven experience managing customer accounts and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging with senior contacts, brokers and underwriters.

Required skills

• Expertise in property loss prevention, fire protection, business interruption and natural hazards.
• Knowledge of recognised standards such as BS EN 12845, NFPA codes and FM Data Sheets.
