SEN Mentor – Flexible 1:1 Support in Hampshire

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Mentors to deliver personalised 1:1 mentoring for children and young people across Hampshire. Working alongside local authorities, you will help vulnerable learners re‑engage with education, build confidence and improve emotional wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide consistent, positive role‑model support to assigned students.
- Develop and implement tailored activities that promote confidence, routine and wellbeing.
- Monitor progress and report observations to the coordinating team.
- Collaborate with local authority staff to ensure seamless support.
Required profile
- Minimum six months experience in an educational setting (e.g., teaching assistant, learning support, tutor).
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
- Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Experience supporting learners with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, anxiety or school avoidance.
