SEND Nurture Teacher – Secondary School (Redhill)

About the role
The school is seeking a dedicated Nurture Teacher to work with 11‑16 year‑olds who have autism spectrum conditions, social‑emotional needs and complex SEND profiles. You will deliver a personalised curriculum within a supportive, multi‑disciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet diverse learning needs.
- Set individual learning targets, monitor progress and produce assessments for parents and external bodies.
- Contribute to EHCP, PEP and LAC reviews and maintain statutory documentation.
- Collaborate with therapists, specialist staff and support assistants, supervising classroom support where required.
- Manage challenging behaviour using trauma‑informed, non‑confrontational approaches.
- Stay current with autism, SEND legislation and best practice, and liaise with families and agencies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching pupils with ASC and other SEND needs.
- Ability to design and deliver a differentiated curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and SEMH considerations.
- Excellent planning, assessment and communication skills.
- Driving licence is desirable.

- Full‑time permanent contract (40 hours/week).
- Salary £34,398 – £48,913 per year (M1‑UPS1 band).
