Senior Building Surveyor – Birmingham (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a fast‑growing commercial consultancy in Birmingham. The role is hybrid, combining office work, client site visits and home‑based days, and offers a clear progression route within a supportive, people‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections across offices, hotels and commercial refurbishment projects.
• Carry out dilapidations assessments and produce detailed schedules of condition.
• Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with client instructions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and maintain strong client relationships.
• Attend regular client meetings and represent the consultancy on‑site.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Surveying.
• MRICS or AssocRICS membership.
• Proven experience in dilapidations, contract administration and schedules of condition.
• Self‑sufficient, confident on site and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for client‑facing interactions.
