Senior Business Development & Marketing Executive (Tech/Media)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Development & Marketing Executive to join a leading law firm that advises clients in technology, media and creative sectors. Reporting to the Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager, you will own a wide range of BD and marketing initiatives across Corporate, Intellectual Property and Family practice groups, with a focus on tech and publishing.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary BD & Marketing contact for designated practice groups and strategic projects.
• Organise and support business development meetings, track actions and ensure timely progress.
• Plan and deliver in‑person and virtual seminars, conferences and client events.
• Maximise sponsorships, partnerships and profile‑raising opportunities.
• Conduct market and competitor research to uncover new business opportunities.
• Create marketing collateral, client communications, website content, social media posts, articles and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Coordinate legal directory and award submissions.
• Assist in preparing pitches, proposals and presentations.
• Maintain CRM and marketing systems with accurate reporting and data management.
• Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and output.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in business development or marketing, preferably within legal or professional services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and influence at all levels.
• Strong organisational capability and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a commercial outlook.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Experience with CRM platforms and email‑marketing tools.
• Competence using Canva for design creation.
