Senior C# .NET Developer – Front Office – Investment Bank

About the role

Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking for a Senior C# .NET Developer to join the Front Office Global Markets IT team in London. The role focuses on building high‑performance applications that support XVA, liquidity, and financial resource management within a modern, event‑driven architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise‑grade C# .NET applications.
• Build scalable services using event‑driven patterns.
• Collaborate with Front Office users to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards and best‑practice guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement of development, testing and deployment pipelines.
• Work in an Agile, international team and champion clean code and software craftsmanship.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with C# .NET and object‑oriented programming.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns and service‑oriented/distributed systems.
• Advanced MS SQL development skills.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD tooling and AI‑assisted development (LLMs, agentic AI).
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work both independently and within Agile teams.
