Senior Compliance Officer – FCA Regulated Financial Services

About the role

Our client, an FCA‑regulated financial services firm, is seeking a senior Compliance Officer to lead and strengthen its UK compliance framework. You will act as a trusted advisor, shaping regulatory strategy and embedding a robust compliance culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Compliance Management (SMF16): monitor and audit conduct against UK regulations, develop policies, procedures, monitoring programmes and controls, and ensure all regulatory obligations are met.
• Regulatory Engagement: serve as the primary contact with the FCA, lead supervisory interactions, respond to information requests and support implementation of new FCA rules.
• Financial Crime & AML oversight (SMF17): manage the AML and financial crime framework, oversee KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting, and act as the firm’s MLRO.
• Regulatory Reporting: compile, review and submit accurate regulatory reports in line with FCA requirements.

• Proven compliance and regulatory experience within the financial sector.
• Commercially astute, proactive self‑starter able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Engaging, energetic and motivated to drive the compliance function forward.
