Senior Engineer – Issue Management & Lessons Learned (6‑month contract)

About the role

Lotus Cars Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Issue Management and Lessons Learned activities at its Hethel manufacturing facility. This 6‑month contract role sits within the Quality team and is critical for ensuring that product‑related issues are resolved efficiently and never re‑occur.

Key responsibilities

• Champion Lotus issue‑management processes to guarantee systematic, robust problem resolution.
• Collaborate with engineers across design, manufacturing and quality to address complex technical challenges.
• Own and maintain a central database of lessons learned from historic projects.
• Review lessons learned with key stakeholders to embed preventive actions into future vehicle development.
• Act as the technical liaison between departments, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
• Develop, maintain and present KPI dashboards for project teams and senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive efficiency improvements.
• Serve as the technical lead for the issue‑management system, supporting users, proposing system upgrades and coordinating with IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with DFMEA and PFMEA throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proven track record of leading resolution of complex technical issues.
• Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
