Senior Lead DWH & BI Architect

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Lead DWH & BI Architect to shape the data warehouse, analytics and business intelligence strategy for its global operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders and the Transformation Delivery team to design and deliver scalable data solutions that support the organisation’s impact for children.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design data warehouse, analytics and reporting solutions, ensuring they follow established principles and are scalable for future needs.
• Own logical and physical data models, conformed dimensions and the semantic/reporting layer, promoting reuse across the organisation.
• Engage business stakeholders to translate analytical needs into detailed technical specifications and prioritize delivery.
• Provide technical mentorship, design guidance and risk assessment for developers, analysts and designers.
• Evaluate technology suppliers and implementation partners, contributing to procurement decisions.
• Identify innovative solutions, build proofs of concept and align implementations with data governance and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, building and deploying data warehouse, data platform and BI solutions in large, complex organisations.
• Strong grounding in data modelling (relational, dimensional, semantic) and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms, including ingestion, orchestration, large‑scale storage and compute.
• Ability to act as the lead technical authority, set design standards and influence teams without direct line management.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with experience working with non‑technical stakeholders internationally.
