Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist – London (Hybrid)

About the role

Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a leading logistics powerhouse to recruit a standalone Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist for their regional headquarters in London. The role will own the in‑house UK & Ireland payroll and benefits function for around 400 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance and seamless vendor management.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end ownership of monthly UK & Ireland payroll cycles, including calculations, variance reporting and journal entries to Finance.
• Management of all HMRC, Revenue and statutory submissions such as auto‑enrolment, NMW tracking, P60s, P11Ds and Gender Pay Gap reporting.
• Lead benefit administration, handling enrolments, leavers, invoice auditing and coordinating annual renewals with external brokers.
• Evaluate and automate payroll processes to eliminate manual tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries, manage the shared inbox, conduct new‑starter inductions and run open‑door sessions to boost benefits engagement.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with ADP iHCM2 (candidates without this experience cannot be considered).
• Proven track record of managing end‑to‑end UK payroll and benefits in‑house.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive data with discretion and professional communication.

• ADP iHCM2 payroll software.
• Google Workspace tools.

What we offer

• Salary £62,000 – £68,000 per annum.
