Senior People Partner (Maternity Cover) – HR Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior People Partner to provide maternity‑cover leadership for our HR function in London. Reporting to the COO, you will act as the primary HR advisor for a fast‑growing investment‑management firm supporting hedge‑fund managers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all People operations, policies and workplace practices across the group.
• Provide strategic HR advice to senior leaders and the senior management team.
• Partner with Finance to ensure accurate monthly payroll, benefits and pension processing using Iris.
• Maintain and administer the HRIS (BambooHR) throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Drive firm‑wide projects on regulatory change, culture and business philosophy.
• Analyse People data and trends to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Support business planning with HR insights, people analytics and organisational design.
• Oversee talent acquisition, agency relationships and recruitment processes.
• Advise on contract terms for senior hires together with legal counsel.
• Coordinate internal training and professional development programmes.

Required profile

• Proven HR generalist experience in a fast‑paced, financial‑services environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of investment‑management operations.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
