Senior Surveyor – Estate Management (Rural)

About the role

We are seeking an MRICS‑qualified Senior Surveyor or Associate to join our Castle Douglas team, delivering professional estate management and consultancy services across Dumfries and Galloway. The role involves managing retained estates, providing strategic advice, and overseeing projects from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day estate operations and develop strategic plans.
• Deliver consultancy services, including compulsory purchase negotiations.
• Oversee project instructions from brief to completion and prepare fee estimates.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior surveyors.
• Maintain and grow client relationships, identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Participate in business development and promotional activities.
• Ensure compliance with RICS, GDPR and internal procedures.

Required profile

• MRICS qualification (mandatory).
• CAAV qualification or working towards it.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and service‑oriented approach.
• Self‑motivated with high initiative and flexibility for occasional out‑of‑hours work.
• Commitment to CPD and professional standards.
