Social Worker – Children in Care Court Team (Temporary)

About the role
This temporary role supports the Children in Care Court team for Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. You will manage a specialised caseload of court proceedings, focusing on safeguarding and placement decisions for children in care.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of court proceedings related to children in care.
- Complete parenting, risk, and viability assessments.
- Prepare statements, final evidence, and care plans for court hearings.
- Collaborate with legal teams, families, and partner agencies to ensure accurate and timely information.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker fully registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum three years post‑qualification experience employed by a local authority (DFE compliant).
- Significant and recent experience working on court cases involving children in care.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £38.
- Fixed‑term contract of at least three months.
- £250 joining bonus for new starters.
- Referral bonus of £300 for successful placements.
