Sous Chef – Chet's

About the role

The Hoxton Shepherd's Bush, a London hotel with an all-day restaurant called Chet's serving Thai-American comfort food, is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join its team. The restaurant sits in the heart of Shepherd's Bush, near West London.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in leading a large, dynamic kitchen team
• Nurture and develop the kitchen team, creating an environment where everyone can be themselves
• Keep operations running smoothly, ensuring orders and deliveries come and go as needed and that food hygiene standards are very high
• Work with the Head Chef on ideas and techniques that keep the kitchen creative and the menu high quality
• Drive efficiency and standards while maintaining the integrity of the menu
• Lead by example, keeping the team involved, motivated and confident in delivering great guest experiences

Required profile

• 2+ years' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy environment, with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority
• Proven track record managing large kitchen teams
• Passion for hospitality and for making a positive, memorable impression on people
• Team player who is not precious, willing to try almost everything once and wants to be part of a supportive, hard-working team
