About the role
Stretton Shires School is expanding and seeks passionate teachers to support autistic young people and those with learning disabilities aged 11‑19. You will deliver personalised, inclusive lessons that help pupils progress academically, socially and emotionally.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons across formal, semi‑formal and informal pathways.
- Teach individuals and small groups, adapting content to meet complex, diverse needs.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, contributing to IEPs and behaviour plans.
- Contribute to the School Development Plan and continuous curriculum improvement.
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development and promote independence.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
- Commitment to inclusive, high‑quality education for learners with autism, learning disabilities and SEMH needs.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to inspire pupils.
- Organised, reflective and collaborative approach to school life.
- Full UK driving licence.
Required skills
What we offer
- Permanent, term‑time only contract (37.5 hours/week, Monday‑Friday, 8:30‑4:30).
- Salary up to £42,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
