Stores Coordinator – Inventory Management

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Stores Coordinator to manage the day‑to‑day operations of the stores department for an established engineering and manufacturing business in Banbury. The role involves ensuring accurate inventory control and timely availability of materials to support production and operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, label and store incoming deliveries; maintain accurate stock records in the company’s stock control system.
• Conduct regular stock checks, annual stocktakes and investigate any discrepancies.
• Process goods in and out, prepare parts for internal departments and external customers, and maintain delivery and collection records.
• Issue tools, parts and consumables to staff, handle returns, and keep the store environment clean, safe and well‑organised.
• Support production by preparing equipment and materials, and raise replenishment requests when stock reaches minimum levels.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing team on GRN processes and resolve delivery issues.
• Follow health and safety procedures, maintain documentation for audits and ensure proper storage of regulated materials.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or inventory control role.
• Familiarity with stock control or ERP systems and strong IT skills.
• Good understanding of inventory management principles and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, technical environment.
