Tax Assistant Manager – Share Schemes (Hybrid)

About the role

Looking to specialise in one of the most technical and rewarding areas of tax? A leading UK accountancy and advisory firm is hiring a Share Schemes Assistant Tax Manager to join its Human Capital Advisory team, advising entrepreneurial, owner‑managed and international businesses on employee share incentive arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on implementing EMI, CSOP and other employee share schemes.
• Support transactions, due‑diligence exercises and share valuations.
• Manage annual share‑scheme reporting and HMRC submissions.
• Provide ongoing advice on Employment Related Securities legislation.
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities for additional advisory work.
• Mentor junior team members and review their work.
• Collaborate with tax specialists across a national team.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Experience with UK employee share schemes, both tax‑favoured and non‑tax‑favoured.
• Knowledge of Employment Related Securities legislation.
• Experience with HMRC share‑scheme registrations and annual returns.
• Proven client‑management and high‑quality advisory delivery.
• Ability to support and develop junior colleagues.
