Tax Specialist – Global Hedge Fund (London)

About the role

This newly created position sits within a high‑calibre tax function of a leading global hedge fund. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will work in London alongside senior tax leadership, business teams and external advisers, gaining exposure to a broad range of tax matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Support corporate tax compliance and VAT filings for the UK and EMEA entities.
• Manage withholding tax processes and assist with transfer pricing reviews.
• Prepare regulatory and tax reporting, including internal reconciliations.
• Monitor tax law developments and support audits and regulatory inquiries.
• Contribute to process‑improvement and automation initiatives across the global tax function.

Required profile

• 0–2 years post‑qualification tax experience (ACA or CTA).
• Strong grounding in UK tax; exposure to US or European regimes is a plus.
• Experience with direct and indirect tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax and double tax treaties.
• Excellent attention to detail, commercial awareness and stakeholder communication skills.
