About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Colchester. In this full-time position you will work directly with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for SEN pupils.
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver classroom assistance and maintain an inclusive environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and report observations.
- Promote the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all students.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs.
- Compassionate and patient attitude.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to supporting academic, social and emotional development.
