Team Lead - International Construction Insurance

About the role

WTW is seeking a Team Lead for its International Construction Insurance team in London. You will manage a portfolio of construction clients, drive new business development, and lead a small team of specialists to deliver tailored risk solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow client relationships by understanding business needs and providing customised risk management solutions.
• Identify and engage key decision‑makers and budget holders within client organisations.
• Provide technical insurance expertise and coordinate with specialist teams as required.
• Develop pricing, placement and revenue‑optimisation strategies for both new and existing accounts.
• Lead a team of three, ensuring consistent service quality and adherence to KPIs/SLAs.
• Drive business development through prospect pipelines, RFP responses and presentations.
• Promote cross‑selling and collaborate across the business to maximise account penetration.
• Oversee placement management, compliance, data accuracy and policy checking.

Required profile

• Strong technical insurance background in the North American construction market.
• Proven track record of high‑level client service and strategic account development.
• Experience in new‑business sales and converting prospects into clients.
• Demonstrated team‑management experience.
• Professional qualification such as ACII or equivalent is preferred.
