Technical Analyst – Food Safety, Northwich

About the role

Morrisons Manufacturing is looking for a Technical Analyst for its Technical / Quality team in Northwich. The team ensures legal compliance from a food safety point of view on busy, demanding sites with high standards. The post reports to the Shift Technical Manager, works 42 hours per week on a rotating pattern (Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun; Week 2: Wed to Fri, 12 hours) and is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, control and audit the production process
• Ensure conformity and non-conformity are communicated, followed up and closed off
• Investigate food safety incidents using root cause analysis and keep the day-to-day site technical function running
• Support the site management team during external accreditations such as BRC and Morrisons manufacturing standards
• Support site production during the launch of new product lines

Required profile

• Confidence to challenge with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Team player and effective communicator
• Good PC skills, especially Google
• Food experience in a technical or similar role
• HACCP qualification or food safety qualification (ideally)
