Tenancy Management Officer – North East London

About the role

Outward is seeking a proactive and passionate Tenancy Management Officer to join its supported housing team in North East London. You will help tenants live independently by delivering a high‑quality, person‑centred housing management service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the void turnaround process to minimise void loss and ensure properties are ready to let within target timescales.
• Work with support providers to coordinate referrals, arrange viewings and conduct joint assessments.
• Allocate and sign‑up tenants in line with partner agency agreements and contractual arrangements.
• Explain tenancy agreements to new residents, induct them into their homes and carry out follow‑up visits within 28 days.
• Maximise rent and service charge income by setting up and maintaining housing benefit claims.
• Investigate anti‑social behaviour, abandonment, unauthorised occupancy and take appropriate enforcement action.
• Conduct property inspections, ensure health and safety standards are met and complete fire risk assessment actions promptly.
• Report regularly on performance to the Senior Supported Tenancy Manager and work towards targets.

Required profile

• Proactive and passionate about supporting vulnerable tenants.
• Ability to work towards targets and report performance metrics.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with tenants, partners and senior managers.
• Commitment to person‑centred, high‑quality service delivery.
