Trainee Associate Surveyor – Plymouth

About the role

We are looking for a Trainee Associate Surveyor to join our Plymouth office. You will enrol in our paid AssocRICS training programme, combining classroom learning with on‑the‑job experience and shadowing senior surveyors.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow experienced surveyors on residential valuation assignments.
• Participate in structured classroom sessions and regular assessments.
• Assist with property casework and valuation surveys under supervision.
• Develop practical skills through hands‑on work in the field.

Required profile

• Passion for residential property and surveying.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time‑management and organisational abilities.
• One of the following qualifications/experience:
  • RICS‑accredited degree (valuation or building surveying) with at least 1 year property‑related work.
  • RICS‑approved HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3, BTEC or foundation degree with 2 years property experience.
  • Minimum 4 years property‑related experience (e.g., estate agency negotiator, asset management, LPA or property management).
