Trust & Estate Tax Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate specialist to join a leading firm in the South East as a Manager or Senior Manager. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office) and a competitive salary up to £90,000.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of trust and estate clients, delivering advisory and compliance services.
• Handle trust formation, restructuring, and reorganisations.
• Provide inheritance tax planning, including APR & BPR, and prepare annual trust accounts and tax returns.
• Offer IHT, CGT and broader estate planning advice.
• Support solicitors and external professional partners.
• Manage, develop and mentor junior staff.
• Oversee billing, workflow and financial management.
• Identify new advisory opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong background in Trusts & Estates (accounting, tax or legal routes welcome).
• Excellent technical knowledge of IHT, CGT, APR, BPR and trust legislation.
• Experience managing or mentoring staff.
• STEP qualified or willing to study; ATT/CTA beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to manage complex workloads while maintaining high‑quality output.
• Open to both Manager and Senior Manager levels.
