Vehicle Technician – Press, Marketing, Engineering & Motorsport Support (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is seeking a Vehicle Technician on a 6‑month contract to support press, marketing, engineering and motorsport activities at its Hethel facility. The role involves maintaining, preparing and operating a wide range of vehicles, from production models to prototypes and motorsport assets, ensuring they meet the highest mechanical and visual standards for media events, tests and customer demonstrations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on press, marketing, engineering and motorsport vehicles.
• Carry out high‑voltage (HV) diagnostics and repairs on electric vehicles in accordance with certification requirements.
• Support engineering teams with prototype builds, test vehicle preparation and development activities.
• Prepare and set up motorsport vehicles, conduct mechanical checks, tyre changes and fluid top‑ups for events.
• Fit and remove branding, decals and campaign‑specific components as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs and parts usage reports.
• Coordinate vehicle logistics, scheduling and transportation for events, track days and partner projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, including electric vehicle systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment supporting multiple disciplines.
• Willingness to travel internationally for vehicle preparation and events.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
