Year 3 Teacher – Fixed-Term (Billericay)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Year 3 Teacher to join a two‑form entry primary school in Billericay from September 2026 until the end of the academic year. The role involves delivering the Year 3 curriculum to a mixed‑ability class and managing behavioural challenges to create a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons in line with the national Year 3 curriculum.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm classroom.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed.
• Provide an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere where every student feels valued.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, senior staff, parents and carers to support individual student needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching at Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3.
• Strong, resilient approach to challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to raising standards and student welfare.
