Year 5 Primary Teacher – Fixed-Term (Sept 2026‑Apr 2027)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a friendly primary school in Luton to recruit a Year 5 Class Teacher on a fixed‑term contract from September 2026 to April 2027. This role offers the chance to shape Key Stage 2 learners, deliver engaging lessons and contribute to a supportive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons that align with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages pupil participation.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students and monitor academic progress.
• Assess, record and report on pupil attainment and development.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to optimise outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, either as a qualified teacher or an early‑career teacher.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to delivering inspiring, engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families quickly.
